It's Not Just Ministry To Us

And it is not a profession. It is our call, the reason we were created. Fire River exists to help bring renewal to the people of God. This a ministry of vision and transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit. Led by Michael and his wife, Jennifer, we have assisted dozens of churches, ministries, and ministers in the areas of strategic leadership, spiritual formation, and ministry development after having served in a wide variety of ministry roles in prisons, outreach programs, and the local church. We are also called to what might best be called "special projects" ranging from research studies to prayer missions in places that are often best left undisclosed. Currently, we are focused on completing our doctoral programs, teaching, and the ministry of spiritual direction.

The Word of God

The Bible contains the truth that all of us are searching for in this life. It is a hunger for the word of God that has transformed our lives. Michael received an impartation for that hunger in 2010. Within months, both he and Jennifer were in Bible college, answering the call to preparation for ministry.

We proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom and teach the revelation and understanding of Scripture that we have received. We also invite others to join us in receiving an unquenchable thirst for this living water.

The Holy Spirit

The Lord God sent His Spirit to enlighten our understanding of the truth of His word. and give us power to live a life beyond our past, a life of victory and hope. It is the Spirit who regenerates our spirit at the moment of our salvation and guides the transformation of our souls as we grow in Christ.

He also brings a purifying fire that burns away the things of the world that impede our walk with Jesus. We minister in the Holy Spirit and fire, sharing the love of God with those who are longing to hear His voice and receive His healing touch.

Jesus, the Light of the World

In the end, every thing we do is about Jesus. He has transformed our lives and we are compelled to share this good news with others. Whether you refer to him as Christ Jesus or Yeshua HaMashiach, we are talking about God made manifest as His Son, who lived the life we cannot as Jesus of Nazareth, and then He gave His life for us. No matter where you have been or what you have done, Jesus is beckoning you to call on His name. His light will shine in the darkest of places.

The God of Israel

Jesus said if we have seen Him, we have seen the Father, the God of Israel, who sends every good and perfect gift from above, the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. God revealed Himself in the beginning as God Almighty and to Israel as the Lord whose name could not be spoken. But when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, He revealed Himself as Jesus, the name above all names and the name at which every knee will bow.

A Call to Unity

We recognize the need for unity in the body of Christ and in His Spirit. At the epicenter of the restoration of unity is the recognition of God's continuing purposes for Israel and the Jewish people in His redemptive plan. We are grafted into the people of God through Jesus; nobody has been "replaced." We have signed the Seven Affirmations of TJCII and actively focus on Jewish ministry.

Similarly, we must recognize that the Spirit dwells within all believers, that it is the very baptism of salvation that distinguishes us as brothers and sisters in Christ. Although we grieve for those who would deny the power of the Spirit, we recognize that the division around Holy Spirit-related doctrine is the work of the enemy.

for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
